Drive By Wire maakt een soort losgeslagen roadkill-stonerblues die klinkt als mengsel van hardrockpioniers als Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer en recentere rockers als Earth, Kyuss, Mogwai en Queens Of The Stone Age. De sound is samengeknepen, eerder dof dan schel en meeslepend dynamisch. Heftige, ronkende gitaarriffs. Loom groovend en emotioneel rond de zwoele vrouwenvocalen van ex-Cords frontvrouw Simone Holsbeek.
