De pas 18-jarige Declan McKenna is een Britse singer-songwriter met een ontzettend scherpe pen. Zijn nummers gaan veelal over maatschappelijke misstanden. Zijn nieuwste single 'Paracetamol' is een zes minuten durend betoog voor jonge transseksuelen die door de media verkeerd worden neergezet. Daarvoor zong hij in 'Brazil' over de twijfelachtige praktijken van de FIFA rondom het WK in Brazilië. Casio synthesizers voeren de boventoon in zijn originele geluid en zijn stem is even sterk als kwetsbaar.
