Cold Specks is een project van de drieëntwintigjarige Al Spx. Een Canadese die in London woont en gezegend is met een hele indrukwekkende stem. Zelf omschrijft ze de muziek als “doom soul” en dat is deels waar want ze vermengt haar donkere soul ook met grootse blues, pure folk en een hip soort indie. In mei verscheen het debuutalbum ’I Predict A Graceful Expulsion’.
