Chuck Prophet, voormalig Green On Red-gitarist, mixt al meer dan veertig jaar alt-country, folk, blues en pop. Prophet begon zijn Europese en Britse tournees in 1984 en sindsdien bloeide zijn solocarrière op met veertien geprezen albums. Naast samenwerkingen met namen als Lucinda Williams, Aimee Mann, Cake, Alejandro Escovedo en Jonathan Richman, zijn zijn nummers gecoverd door Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Solomon Burke en Heart. Ondanks een gevecht tegen kanker in 2022 keerde Chuck in 2023 terug naar uitverkochte zalen. Zijn eerste nieuwe album sinds 2020 verschijnt in oktober, gevolgd door een uitgebreide Europese en Britse tour.
