The Caroline Polachek concert is postponed until 24 February 2023. The location and times have not changed. Bought tickets remain valid for the new date of the concert. All ticket buyers will receive an email with further details.

Artist statement:

Dear friends,

I'm very sorry to announce that my upcoming UK/EU tour is rescheduled for February, and I’ll no longer be joining Flume on tour in Australia. My three Primavera dates are proceeding as scheduled.

It's been an exhilarating year of playing shows and I've loved every second of it, but my new album is very close to being finished and I need more time off the road to give it the uninterrupted attention it requires. This record has been a slower process for me because of all the touring during it's making (Pang would have toured years earlier if not for covid) but it's been so worth it, and the energy we've shared at these shows has gone straight into the new music. I am so grateful to have such an incredible live audience and will not let you down.

Oklou sadly will not be able to join me for the postponed EU/UK dates. A new support will be announced asap.

Caroline Polachek kent in haar carrière uiteenlopende verschijningsvormen. De Amerikaanse zangeres werd bekend met synthpopduo Chairlift, maar experimenteerde ook met ambient onder de noemer CEP en ontplooide haar artpop-persoonlijkheid als Ramona Lisa. Daarnaast heeft ze als songwriter en producer een indrukwekkend cv opgebouwd; haar credits worden genoemd bij tracks van onder meer Beyoncé, Solange, Travis Scott en Charli XCX.

De muzikale alleskunner bracht in 2019 met het album 'Pang' voor het eerst muziek uit onder haar eigen naam; etherische, elektronische pop waarin haar heldere falsetstem altijd delicaat maar krachtig naar voren komt. Vorig jaar ging het nummer 'So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings' viral op TikTok en even daaropvolgend werd single 'Bunny Is A Rider' door Pitchfork uitgeroepen tot het beste nummer van het jaar 2021. Begin 2022 bracht Polachek samenwerkingen uit met Flume en Charil XCX en voor later dit jaar staat er meer nieuwe muziek én een concert in de grote zaal van Paradiso op de planning.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
