Super-Sonic Jazz

De Ierse band Bricknasty beweegt zich moeiteloos tussen r&b, neosoul en jazz. Wat begon als een toevallige ontmoeting op SoundCloud tussen frontman Fatboy en producer Cillian McCauley, groeide al snel uit tot een dynamische liveband met bassist Dara Abdurahman, drummer Korey Thomas en saxofonist/toetsenist Louis Younge.

Na hun debuut-EP ‘INA CRUELER’, waarin ze openhartig reflecteren op hun leven, afkomst en relaties, zette Bricknasty in 2024 een volgende stap met de experimentele mixtape ‘XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ’. De titel is misschien een tongbreker, maar de muziek spreekt voor zich. Hierop verkent de band een breder klankpalet, met intieme teksten, avontuurlijke producties en opvallende videoclips die hun surrealistische en visuele stijl onderstrepen.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
