Blendin is een stichting die nieuwkomers (vluchtelingen) samenbrengt met Nederlanders. Blendin maakt cultuur toegankelijk voor alle nieuwkomers en jaagt zo culture uitwisseling en verrijking aan. Naast de sociaal culturele impact, biedt Blendin nieuwkomers ook perspectief op de Nederlandse arbeidsmarkt.

Op 31 mei slaan stichting Blendin en Strange Sounds From Beyond en Paradiso de handen ineen om een avond neer te zetten waar het bestaan van verschillende culturen wordt gevierd. Dit wordt gedaan door op het podium verschillende acts neer te zetten met diverse achtergronden. Ook het publiek zal divers zijn, daar stichting Blendin alle nieuwkomers (vluchtelingen) gratis uitnodigt. De locals betalen 10 euro waardoor ze een kaartje voor hun zelf en een nieuwkomer bekostigen. Verwacht Syrsiche folk, Arabische electro onder leiding van Midden-Oosterse snaarinstrumenten en bijzondere DJ's die via Strange Sounds From Beyond hun te gekke sounds laten horen. Gasten kunnen naast heerlijk vegetarisch Midden-Oosters eten ook nieuwe vrienden maken tijdens 'Friendly Speed Dates' en andere bijzondere randprogrammering.

On Thursday May 31st Blendin, Strange Sounds From Beyond 2018 andParadiso Amsterdam join forces and organise an evening where various cultures will be put on the stage. Newcomers and Dutch locals will show their talents at Paradiso Noord and to include everyone, Blendin invites all newcomers to join us for free. We ask Dutch locals to buy a ticket for 10 euro's which will include their own entry and that of a newcomer. The remaining profit of the ticket sale will go to Blendin.

Expect Syrian Folk, electro combined with Middle-Eastern instruments and some of todays finest DJs that are brought here through Strange Sounds From Beyond. How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
