De van oorsprong Limburgse singer-songwriter Blackbird is al haar hele leven bezig met muziek. Haar filmische, nostalgische pop/rockmuziek wordt gekenmerkt door vintage gitaren, catchy hooks en sterke vocalen. Blackbird speelde in het voorprogramma van Sheryl Crow en Beth Hart en stond eerder op festivals als Paaspop, Bospop en de Zwarte Cross. De singer-songwriter brengt 17 november haar tweede album ‘Pink Shades’ uit, inclusief de singles ‘Down Down Down Down’ en ‘Built And Broken’. Die laatste kreeg tweemaal de Radio Veronica Oorkonde en werd uitgeroepen tot NPO Radio 2 TopSong. Nieuwe single en titeltrack ‘Pink Shades’ verschijnt in september, en op 12 december viert ze samen met haar band de release van het album met een show in Bitterzoet.
