Achter de naam Black Belt Eagle Scout gaat singer-songwriter en multi-instrumentalist Katherine Paul schuil. Black Belt Eagle Scout maakt grungy indierock met invloeden uit inheemse Amerikaanse muziek; Katherine groeide op als lid van de Swinomish Indian Tribal Community in Washington, even ten noorden van Seattle. Ze bracht in 2014 haar eerste EP uit, opgevolgd door haar debuutalbum in 2017. In haar teksten staan emotionele thema's als liefde, verlies, rouw en het vinden van je identiteit als een inheems-Amerikaanse, queer vrouw centraal.Â

How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.Â
