De jonge Nieuw-Zeelandse indiepopzangeres BENEE komt terug naar Nederland en geeft op woensdag 27 mei een concert in Cinetol. BENEE is het alter-ego van de vrolijke twintigjarige singer-songwriter Stella Bennett uit Auckland. Ze brak in 2018 in haar thuisland gigantisch door met de single ‘’Soaked’’: de track kwam op de nummer één-positie in de hitlijsten terecht en deed het ook goed in buurland Australië. Dat BENEE absoluut geen eendagsvlieg is, bewees ze met de release van haar nieuwe EP ‘’Stella & Steve’’ uit, waarop ze o.a. samenwerkt met Gus Dapperton én het feit dat ze in de top 10 ’’Hottest Artists of 2019’’ stond van het toonaangevende Australische radiostation Triple J, naast artiesten als Flume, Billie Eilish, Lime Cordiale en Mallrat.
