BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness) uit Soweto is meer dan een band; het is een muzikale beweging. Met een vurige mix van funk, hiphop en punkrock geven ze een stem aan de gewone mens in Zuid-Afrika. Hun bezielde optredens zijn spirituele rituelen én politieke statements. Geworteld in Afrikaanse tradities, strijdt BCUC met rauwe energie en ritmische trance voor vrijheid en bewustwording. Ze brengen een Afrika dat niet arm is, maar rijk aan kracht, rituelen en verhalen. Hun liveshows zijn onvergetelijk en wereldwijd geroemd, van Glastonbury tot Womad.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
