De Vlaamse indiepopband Balthazar keert in september 2021 terug naar Amsterdam voor twee concerten in Paradiso. De vijfkoppige formatie rondom voormannen Maarten Devoldere en Jinte Deprez werd opgericht in 2004 en wist door hun harde werk, ijzersterke liveshows en gewoonweg het feit nog nooit een slecht album gemaakt te hebben in gestaag tempo uit te groeien tot een van de populairste en meest geprezen bands uit België, met succes wat reikt tot ver buiten de grenzen van de Benelux. In februari 2020, vlak voor de coronacrisis, gaf de band twee fantastische concerten in onze grote zaal, destijds in het kader van hun album ‘Fever’ uit 2019. Het resterende deel van rampjaar 2020 heeft Balthazar niet stilgezeten, maar besteed aan het schrijven van hun nieuwe langspeler ‘SAND’, die op 26 februari het levenslicht zal zien. Wij zijn vereerd dat de band, als de coronacrisis in september 2021 hopelijk tot bedaren is gebracht, Paradiso opnieuw zal aandoen voor twee bijzondere shows.

Afterparty in de Kelder

Na het concert van Balthazar kun je nog blijven hangen in de Kelder voor de afterparty. Hier zal DJ-duo Charlie Avalon je voorzien van dansbare indiehits en nostalgische pop.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
