Ares

After two years of silence, rapper Ares returns to the stage with the ‘Andere Man’ tour: a completely revamped live show in which he brings the album to life with a live band and new arrangements. Prior to the show, the twenty-minute album film ‘Noorderzon’ will be screened, immediately immersing the audience in the world of the project.

‘Andere Man’ marks a new phase in Ares’s life (Rens Ottema, 1995). He went into therapy for the first time, stopped smoking weed and began to openly process his thoughts and struggles in his music. On the album, he seeks balance, poses big questions about life and reveals a more honest and vulnerable side of himself.

Recorded in the tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands, ‘Andere Man’ sounds warmer, more personal and more layered than Ares’s previous work. This development translates live into a show where music, film and storytelling come together.
