De experimentele indieband Animal Collective overrompelde vanaf begin jaren 2000 de internationale muziekscene met hun creatieve werken. Sinds toen verschenen tien studio-albums, de een nog conceptueler dan de ander. Bij het grote publiek werd de band in 2009 bekend met 'Merriweather Post Pavillion', maar puristen zullen 'Sung Tongs' uit 2004 zien als belangrijk album voor de verdere toekomst van het geluid van de Amerikanen. Vanavond spelen Avey Tare (David Portner), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), Deakin (Josh Dibb) en Geologist (Brian Weitz) dan ook dit album integraal in Paradiso Noord.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
