Anees is een onafhankelijke artiest en songwriter uit Virginia die moeiteloos pop, hiphop en r&b vermengt tot een geluid dat zowel soulvol als helend is. Zijn teksten zijn openhartig, waarin thema’s als liefde, vrijheid en zelfexpressie centraal staan in alles wat hij maakt. Met zijn doorbraaksingle 'Slip', die mede lof kreeg van Justin Bieber, vond Anees wereldwijd gehoor. Niet lang daarna volgde 'Sun and Moon', een liefdesballad die zes weken op nummer één stond in de Filipijnen en hem een gastoptreden bij Jimmy Kimmel Live opleverde.

Zijn debuutalbum 'Summer Camp' leidde tot uitverkochte tours in de VS en Europa en bracht hem in contact met een snelgroeiende, toegewijde fanbase. In april dit jaar verscheen zijn tweede album 'HOMEsick', waarin Anees dieper duikt in thema’s als identiteit en veerkracht zonder zijn genrebuigende magie te verliezen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
