De in Londen gevestigde singer-songwriter Ama Lou staat bekend om haar unieke draai op r&b, waarbij ze garage, drill en neo-soul elementen mengt tot haar eigen kenmerkende geluid. Lou brak door in 2018, het jaar waarin ze ‘DDD’ uitbracht, een ingetogen en vloeiende EP die haar plaats bevestigde in een golf van opkomende Engelse r&b-artiesten. Dit leidde tot de opvolger in 2019, ‘Ama Who?’ met de single ‘Northside’. Tesnslotte bracht ze ‘At Least We Have This’ uit in 2021, die zowel haar volwassen als haar stilistisch gevarieerde esthetiek lieten zien. In september bracht ze dan eindelijk haar langverwachte debuutalbum ‘I Came Home Late’ uit met de single ‘Silence’.

How to get to Tolhuistuin
Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein. Restaurant THT serves an extensive menu for any music lover – making a reservation is recommended.
