Alison Moyet viert in 2025 haar veertigjarig jubileum als soloartiest met een concert in Paradiso. De veelzijdige Engelse zangeres begon als punker en brak vervolgens aan het begin van de jaren tachtig door als lid van synthpopduo Yazoo, de band die ze vormde met ex Depeche Mode-lid Vince Clarke. Nadat het duo in 1983 uit elkaar ging wist ze grote successen te behalen als soloartiest. Haar eigen werk omvat een breed scala aan stijlen, variërend van pop en rock tot jazz en blues. Ze bracht onder haar eigen naam maar liefst negen studioalbums uit, won drie BRIT-awards en werd genomineerd voor een Grammy. In Nederland scoorde ze grote hits met 'All Cried Out' en 'That Ole Devil Called Love'. Ook anno nu zit Alison Moyet niet stil: zo studeerde ze onlangs nog cum laude af aan de Universiteit van Brighton.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
