Als helft van het synthpopduo Yazoo scoorde Alison Moyet in de jaren tachtig grote hits met nummers als ‘Only You’ en ‘Don’t Go’. Na de breuk met haar muzikale partner Vince Clarke ging Alison Moyet alleen verder en ook solo kende ze vele successen met nummers als ‘Love Resurrection’, ‘All Cried Out’ en ‘Is This Love?’. Haar muziek werd steeds meer ingetogen en bluesy, maar op haar recentste album ‘The Minutes’ keert ze terug naar de dansvloer van weleer.
