Wie naar een concert van Alex Vargas gaat maakt dikke kans om ademloos achter te blijven. De Deen heeft een gouden strot, is muzikaal en geeft alles op het podium. Waar het eerdere werk van de indiepopartiest soms wat zwaar aan kan voelen, kiest de singer-songwriter nu voor optimisme en geluiden uit de jaren 60 en 70. Op het nieuwe album 'BIG BIG MACHINE' dat uitkomt in februari gaat Vargas terug naar het plezier dat hij in eerste instantie had als hij muziek maakte. Om dat terug te krijgen kiest hij bewust voor een nieuw muzikaal begin vol kleur en speelsheid. BIG BIG MACHINE is het derde album en is de opvolger van 'Cohere' en 'EGO' waarvan de laatste bestaat uit drie platen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
