Multi-instrumentalist en songwriter Alexander Giannascoli oftewel (Sandy) Alex G uit Philadelphia wordt terecht vaak vergeleken met artiesten als Elliott Smith en Sparklehorse. De experimentele indierocker maakt intieme, lo-fi nummers met invloeden van Americana en psychedelica en neemt deze het liefst zelf op met behulp van zijn laptop en bevriende muzikanten. Binnenkort verschijnt 'God Save The Animals', het negende studioalbum van Giannascoli. Net als bij zijn vorige platen, schreef Alex G deze nummers zelf thuis, maar vroeg daarnaast een aantal ingenieurs om hem te helpen de "beste" opnamekwaliteit te produceren, wat dat ook moge betekenen. Het resultaat is een album dat dynamischer is dan ooit in zijn sonische palet.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
