De uit Gotenburg afkomstige artiest Albin Lee Meldau maakt toegankelijke, soulvolle popmuziek. Naar eigen zeggen is zijn muziek beïnvloed door verschillende artiesten: het gemompel van Sonia Hedenbratt, het gehuil van The Wailers, de stem van Otis Redding en de poëzie van Bob Dylan. Eerder bracht hij ook een plaat uit in zijn moedertaal Zweeds. Na succes in zijn thuisland krijgt hij nu steeds meer voet aan de grond in Nederland door onder meer airplay op Radio Veronica en Radio 2. De single ‘Forget About Us’ is een eerste indruk van zijn tweede Engelstalige album die later dit jaar verschijnt, dat hij opnam met muzikanten die ook samenwerkten met acts als Adele, Florence and the Machine en Lana Del Rey.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
