Voucher system & donation options for postponed and cancelled concerts

9 April, 2020

The coronavirus has created unprecedented challenges for the whole of society. Business is suffering in general, but those areas most affected whose future existence has been severely threatened include not only airlines, shops, restaurants and cafes but also the whole cultural sector. Museums, galleries, theatres, music venues, clubs and festivals are facing an uncertain future. The current crisis has enforced many to take drastic measures to avoid impending bankruptcy and closure. In order to maintain a healthy creative landscape in our society, it is important to protect the future of locations such as Paradiso and to guarantee a stage for artists and musicians once they have the chance to resume touring. The Dutch cultural sector has developed a new regulation for ticket holders, with support from the Dutch Department of Health and Education (OCW), complying with the guidelines of the Consumers Association (ACM). Paradiso will be joining this scheme, adding the option of extra support through direct donations.

Paradiso will be joining this scheme, adding the option of extra support through direct donations.

The new regulation allows tickets for postponed and cancelled events to be transferred into a credit voucher. Our voucher is valid for a minimum of 24 months and enables the purchaser to visit Paradiso at a later date. It is also possible to donate the face value of the voucher, or part of it, or apply for a refund.

Donate (a part of) your ticket
Everybody who has purchased one or more tickets for a program of Paradiso has the opportunity to donate their full ticket or a part of it to Paradiso. With your donation you help Paradiso and all the artists that will perform there in the future survive this financial crisis. The funds will be spent on programs with Dutch talent in all genres and art forms. For example an evening filled with new Dutch bands from independent labels. Your donation will also help to produce over 1.400 programs each year. Paradiso is dependent on its own income for 94%, which has now completely disappeared.

Apply for a voucher or refund
Ticket buyers for rescheduled and cancelled programmes, receive an e-mail from Paradiso early May, as soon as it is possible for them to apply for a voucher or refund. If a programme is not yet rescheduled, we ask for a little more patience while we work on a solution.

We kindly ask everyone not to approach us by mail or telephone for more details.

Pleas visit this page to view a list of rescheduled events.
