Code of Conduct
To operate as a socially responsible organization, clear principles are needed for all stakeholders of Paradiso. These are divided into Staff, Audience, Programming, Partners, and City & Community. In this code of conduct, we address each stakeholder group.
Staff
Socially responsible entrepreneurship starts with our own team. Paradiso places great value on a safe, inclusive, and healthy work environment. We encourage sustainability and awareness among our employees—for example, by offering vegetarian meals, implementing sustainable procurement policies, and promoting waste separation. We also motivate our staff to commute in an eco-friendly way and provide discounts on gym memberships.

Audience
Paradiso has clear house rules and a safe space policy. Discrimination and inappropriate behavior are not tolerated and may result in removal from the premises. We inform and inspire our visitors about social responsibility, such as promoting respect for artists and emphasizing sustainable choices.

Programming
Paradiso is more than just a venue. Since its founding, it has been a place where music, art, social reflection, and activism converge. We provide space for free expression but set clear boundaries for expressions that promote hate, exclusion, or violence. Our programming is rooted in the values of openness, inclusivity, and safety for all.

Partners
Paradiso prefers to collaborate with businesses that share our core values. We expect our partners to respect human rights, promote diversity and inclusivity, act ethically, and operate with environmental awareness. Transparency and social engagement are essential. We evaluate five criteria when selecting our partners:
- Respect for and promotion of human rights
- The role of diversity and inclusivity in HR policies
- The ethical aspects of the business
- Environmentally responsible management of activities
- Certification of responsible policies

City & Community
Paradiso feels strongly connected to Amsterdam. As a cultural venue, we contribute to the livability, diversity, and cohesion of the city and its residents. We take measures to minimize nuisance and welcome feedback from local residents. Our latest initiative in this area is our vision for the future, 100 Years of Paradiso. Experiencing any issues at the moment? Our door is always open. You can reach us at +31 (0)20 626 4521 or email us at [email protected].
