De Allah-Las is een jonge band uit Los Angeles die psychedelische surfpop maakt, met hints naar de jaren zestig. Terug in de tijd dus, met The Beach Boys, The Byrds en Captain Beefheart. De band bestaat overigens uit professionele surfers die vaak te vinden zijn op Venice Beach, en dat is terug te horen in zorgenloze en zonnige gitaarklanken. Of zoals ze het zelf mooi zeggen: “The perfect mixture of the sands, the seas, the streets and cities of the golden state.”
